梅菜扣肉面

its so random, but its so niceee :)
step in to suntec crystal jade with my bf one day and ate this dish..
guess what, its so good, we exactly crave for it
and we were back for more :)ying says everyone should try it! :)

i sat there, i cried, i dont know how.
why do i have to be left disappointed all the time?
i wish i could live in my world of fiction and never wake up.

Body of Lies, Billy Bombers, Ben & Jerry :)

dinner at billy bombers was so filling.
the bf had an all-star burger, a huge burger with a giant beef patty, bacon, two eggs, cheese, veggies, onions and sauces.
the reason why he ordered it was cos of the TWO EGGS.while the gf had a half slab BBQ pork ribs with potato salad :)
and we had some buffalo wings to go with.i had a tough fight with my wings, so i asked the waiter to cut it up for us (much better that way)
and i asked chow, 'eh, is this chicken wings or buffalo wings?'
wells, buffalo wings is a way chicken wings are cooked, deep-fried then coated with sauce. :)

after dinner, i was so full and bloated, yet the bf says 'let's go for B&J.'

dessert is apparently a different compartment in the stomach. WHAT?!

anddd i started cam-whoring. HAHA

the boy definitely has a hidden talent for cam-whoring. haha.
and he got tired of it and decided to go back to ice-cream..
but NOOO, the girl grab him back for camera again. haha. :)

tired

i am tired.
tired from studying, tired from waiting, tired from trying, tired from thinking.
tired from living up to expectations.
maybe life should go back to how it should be.
maybe all this is just a dream.
maybe i dont see my glass slipper anymore.

disappointed
not by the action but by the reaction.

its disappointing when people make empty promises.
it gives you hope, bring you high up into the sky.
and PUFFF, they take it all away and you land hard.


its even more disappointing when its your loved ones
not one but twice in a day.

bad day

sit down. rest. lie down. nua. trying to close my eyes and sleep. drink water. lie on my bed. roll on my sofa. i tried all sort of methods. but it doesnt seem to work. :(

breaking out in cold sweat. feeling cold. stomach hurts. the best way to start exams.
i wanna set my mind on studying but i cant.
i know i need rest but i cant rest peacefully.
when i lie down, i start thinking abt my work, my lecture notes, my tutorials.
tell me what shld i do
i hate this feeling :(

was thinking of him even after i got home and a week later, TADA, he's my friend! :)
he's a lovely friend who is with me 24/7.

the joy of driving.

ying loves driving at night.
wind down the windows, enjoy the wind, play my fav music, drive on the highway.
it gives me time and space to think about things.
its like my own private space, just me myself. :)

maybe i like kangaroo instead of elephant.

its mummy's day off, so its a day out with her :)
dimsum at holland v crystal jade and then head down to bugis for some shopping.

a usual happy saturday :)

ying is supposed to be doing work.
ying has no idea why she is blogging.
she brought all her stuff to her granny's place, sit herself down at a corner away from the crowd.
but somehow, she ended listening to a conversation or get involved in a conversation every 5 mins.

that's my usual saturday. :)
a day spend at my granny's place.
we (me and my cousins) always say that we will study or do some readings at my granny's place as exams are coming.
BUT the whole family always ended up talking, playing, watching tv etc.

wells, that's what i love and hate about my family.
its really nice that we get to come together every week and have fun together :)
but its nv possible to study there and when exams are around the corner, we will always be in a dilemma to either study at home or take some time to relax and have fun at my granny's place.

a random side note: ACJJ realize that she, athina and i have the same hairstyle.
the only difference is that athina has the shortest fringe, she has a little longer fringe than athina and i have the longest fringe amongst us. HAHA

joy of oreo cheesecake :)

as everyone knows ying loves baking.
and since she has loads of fun with her nm2219 and nm2102 group mates this sem.
she decided to make oreo cheesecakes for the girls!

as both her tutorials are on wed, cheesecake freshly made on tuesday night. :)with the bunch of girls i will miss :)thanks for enduring with me this whole sem!
its great fun working with you girls, hang in there for exams! :)

the youngest girl in our group as well as fellow baker :)

as for my 2219, i have no idea why we didnt have a photo together. HAHA
but i am so sure we girls will meet even after the module is over.
one of the best group ever.
its great fun being group mates with you girls, serious when we are working, having the most fun when we are bitching. an amazing bunch of people :)

handphone or running shoes?

"between a new handphone and a pair of running shoes, which one will you get?"

wells, someone told me 'running shoes cos i cant stand being fat'
?!?!
yes, i was erm, shocked? when i hear that answer. HAHA
vain people! :)

anyway, ying is puzzled by 2 things today.
1) the act of someone buying shoes 'impulsively'
2) the complication of buying a pair of running shoes.

durian puffs!

ying was craving for durian puffs.
she bought some from polar and feel that it wasnt very nice.
since she is free on sat morning, durian puffs for her family and herself! :)

my baking table is always messy :S

durian fillings1) fight with the durian for the durian plups
2) smooth it a little
3) add honey and mix
4) add cream and gelatine into durian mixture and mix well

DURIAN FILLINGS :)

pastry1) a. boil water, sugar and salt
b. next add in butter, melt and boil mixture
c. turn heat to low and add in flour, stir vigorously
2) leave to cool, add in eggs.
3) scoop the mixture onto tray
4) bake!

TADA! pastry! :)

ying officially ended her tuitions!
as o levels come to an end, its also time to bid farewell to my students.

ying got emo when she was driving back home.
happy, relieved, sad, emoooo
had my last tuition with my student today.
my student was really sweet, she got me a pair of earrings. :)

i realised i truly enjoyed being a teacher, an ambition i had since i was young.
thanks to mdm wu who recommended me to mdm zainah when she was looking for a tutor for her daughter, i guess that sort of officially started my journey as a tutor.
and my students multiply cos of other recommendations etc.

its really enjoyable being a tutor, being able to help them, see them improve, the joy when they tell you that they finally pass their tests or exams.
there were times when we sidetrack from tuitions to discuss about random stuffs, times when we got really stress up cos they still dont know their stuffs one day before exams.
i must say i am really lucky to have taught motivated students who were keen to learn, i dont have to worry about them not revising their work or stuff.
i pray that they will all do well in their exams and get into whatever course they want. :)

ying misses her classes as well, the classes she taught in JVS.
there were times when you feel so frustrated and irritated by your students when they talk, sleep or even run around the class, but at the same time, you love them for their innocence and sincerity, how they studied so hard as a class just for those chocolates and lollipops, how they grab the chance to help you carry those books to the staff room.

maybe i shld consider being a teacher.
i think i might love that job. :)

dinner at sushi tei was great!
especially sashimi salad with sushi tei dressing. :)
it was even more hilarious with people who is obsessed with sushi tei dressing. HAHA
sam simply loves sushi tei dressing & she gets HIGH drinking it.
